Hi, my name is Tanner Kopel, and I am founder and CEO of WonderSense Games, a one-man virtual reality game studio based in Dallas, Texas. I started this game studio in order to build high-quality VR experiences that truly immerse the player in lively, dynamic worlds. WonderSense Games is named after the metaphor "sense of wonder", which is a feeling of awe and amazement that we hope to recreate in all of our games.
I began programming when I was just 15 years old during the COVID-19 pandemic, and specialized in front end web development for almost 2 years. However, when I watched Mark Zuckerberg's vision for the future of the metaverse at Facebook's connect 2021, I fell in love with the idea of virtual reality. I immediately began working on my first game, The Heist VR, with no experience in game development, and eventually started my own business to keep building even more immersive VR experiences.
A feeling of awakening or awe triggered by an expansion of one's awareness of what is possible or by confrontation with the vastness of space and time. This is the feeling that inspired me to start this game studio, and this is the feeling that I hope to capture in my future games.
FAST-PACED ARCADE SHOOTER
The Heist VR is a fun, fast-paced arcade shooter for the Oculus Quest. Play as an experienced thief as you infiltrate 3 different locations and escape with the cash. You must defend yourself from the incoming police as you wait for your bomb to explode and force your way through the armored doors.
SHORT, CARTOONY, EXPLOSIVE FIGHTER
In Pillow Fight VR you can grab pillows and throw them at the incoming plushies to kill them while creating beautiful explosions. But be careful, as pillows can only be used once before exploding. And if you take to long to kill all the plushies, watch out for falling stuffed animals that can kill you on impact!
ARCADE-STYLE SCI-FI SHOOTER
Go from planet to planet as you fight against futuristic robots and drones in this arcade shooter. Each level puts you on a different planet to kill enemies, take down asteroids, and gather as many points as you can while listening to the level's featured song. Compete against your friends for the best score in the survival game mode to get your name on the leaderboard.
ARCADE-STYLE SUPERHERO SIMULATOR
Use your magical hammer and epic superpowers to defeat the nefarious Metal Man, and save the city of Centropolis. From battling Minion Machines to evading explosive ExploDrones in arcade-style gameplay, every corner of the comic book-inspired city is a battlefield. The game's immersive experience extends beyond intense combat, offering a sandbox mode where heroes can freely explore Centropolis and respond to dynamic threats.
